The Raven Dancers perform for groups of all ages throughout the Front Range area. We are generally available for weekday evening and weekend performances. Since we are an all-volunteer group, most of our adults have jobs and our youth are in school; this makes it nearly impossible for us to do shows during the day on weekdays.
Our normal performances are 30-45 minutes, and include a mix of traditional and modern dances and stories, with live traditional drum and flute music. We are a not-for-profit and do not have set fees, but gratefully accept donations. Typical donations range from $50 to $400. Part of each donation goes to help our youth members build their dance regalia, and part goes to help fund our programs. We generally can tailor our performance to meet your needs.
We require a performance space of approximately 30 feet x 30 feet in size. There must be electrical outlets within 25 feet of the performance area. We also need at least six (6) free-standing chairs.
We require at least one, but preferably two, dressing areas. These must be separated from the performance area, and accessible no less than 30 minutes prior to the agreed performance time. These areas should be securable, and must provide visual privacy for the dancers. Bathrooms are not acceptable changing areas.
Due to required travel time, we will generally not start prior to 7:00 PM on weekday evenings. If your group is not ready by the agreed starting time, we will wait 30 minutes, or until 7:45 PM, whichever is sooner. The Raven Dancers will not start performing after 7:45 PM, unless prior arrangements are made in advance.
If you wish to schedule us for an event, or have any further questions, please fill out the contact form below, and we’ll get back to you. Before accepting a performance we will verify that we have people available for time requested.
