Spring Bear Pow-wow saw about 50 dancers, and over 500 total visitors during the day at a new location. Master of Ceremonies Lance Allrunner and Arena Director Francis Sherwood kept things moving with lots of intertribal dancing and social dances. Denver Singers led the singing for the day, joined by several other drums including: Denver All Nations, and Goodfeather. The singing was spirited and kept the dancers on their feet. Good songs and good feelings. Yeah! Admission was free to all visitors. A free printed program gave information about the head staff, tips for pow-wow enjoyment, and other great information. Our "Not-a-raffle" drawing offered chances at several lovely prizes, including a hand-made ladies' dance shawl, several works of art donated by our vendors, and more. Alisa Limvere & Brenda Aldrich and the kitchen staff served up frybread, Indian tacos, green chili, hot dogs, and nachos. Good Stuff! Spring Bear 2005 featured 29 of the area's finest vendors. Visitors could take home a really special gift.
